Oh yes, never ending mismatch of paper sizes. I have A1 size in the program, A0 in the printer. Which is exactly what I want. But printer stubbornly is asking for A1.

I don't have experiences with this particular printer model. So generally. In some cases this behaviour is hard programmed into the printer driver and only a solution is to change paper size in the application program to A0 and using margins or similar features to position my A1 into correct place on the A0. Some printers have got alternative unofficial drivers to resolve this problem.

In some drivers you can set use paper size from the application program and disregard printer driver settings. Then you have to check application program options.

Some printers display a question that there is a paper size mismatch and if you want to continue anyway. Some printers have an option to change this behaviour in the settings. Kind of paper size mismatch override.

In practice. Check your W7x64 printer driver settings for options usually under Page Layout. Try to install PS and Windows driver. Often they offer different options.

Try different printer ports in Windows. Often TCP/IP port enables more functions for the printer driver than WDS or LPR port. (E.g. some printers gives you maximum 600 dpi via WDS, LPR but 1200 dpi over TCP/IP). The best practice is to set fixed/static IP address for the printer, which must be out of the DHCP address pool.

Check printer settings for paper size management. You may find helpful Océ Remote Logic application software.

Under this entry Oce's PPD files for their PostScript level 3 printers are hosted. PostScript printers are supported natively in Linux and Unix environments, so you only need the PPD file for your printer, no driver executables, to get access to all printing functionality. The PPD contains all information about properties and user-settable options which are specific to the printer and makes printing dialogs show these options and allow the user to control all the printer's functionality.

The PPDs only support the printing functionality of the printers. To use extra functionality, like scanning, faxing, ... you will perhaps need additional software.

Note that these printers work, like all other PostScript printers, with generic PostScript PPD files, but then you will not get access to all the printer specific functionality.
